“Coastal Conservation for the benefit of people and the planet”

The Two Bays Trust is marking

NATIONAL MARINE WEEK

with 2 free events in North Cornwall…

National Marine Week 2026 takes place from Saturday 25th July to Sunday 9th August. Coordinated by The Wildlife Trusts, the ‘week’ spans 16 days to take advantage of the best tides. This year's theme focuses on "Incredible Journeys," celebrating marine life migration from whales and sharks to seabirds and molluscs.

We are delighted to be collaborating with Cornwall Wildlife Trust to deliver the 2 events outlined below…

Join us for two events, both in and around Port Quin:

  1. MARINE WEEK WANDER - Wednesday 29th July, 12.30pm, the Coastal Centre, Trevathan Farm Shop, PL293TP

Our Marine week Wander takes place on a gentle stretch of the coast path, overlooking stunning Port Quin Bay. It’s more than just an A to B yomp, it’s a chance to immerse yourself in the wonderful coastal environment, and take some time to reflect on its beauty and fragility. Meet at the Coastal Centre for a lift to the coast in our minibus. Book using the button below (opens in new tab):

2. ROCK POOL REFLECTIONS - Saturday 1st August, 1pm-3pm, Port Quin Beach, PL293SU

Join us for a guided exploration of Port Quin beach, and discover the “incredible journeys” of its amazing rock pool species. Expect crabs, molluscs, sponges, fish, seabirds and much more! Click the button below to take you to the Cornwall Wildlife Trust booking page (opens in a new tab):

The Two Bays Trust was registered in August 2024, and is the positive outcome of a widespread campaign to protect the two bays of Port Quin and Port Isaac in North Cornwall. Initially, the Trust was solely a coastal conservation charity, but has since expanded to offer Green Social Prescribing and Blue Health facilities and services. We now organise and offer group sessions in the natural environment to support those living with stress, anxiety and feelings of social isolation. Our sessions are relaxed and informal and are available to everyone, regardless of ability.

Referrals are through the Primary Care Network, other NHS services, other organisations, and schools. Please speak to your GP or healthcare provider, and they will put you in touch with Social Prescribing Cornwall.

Alternatively, anyone is welcome to contact or visit us at any time.

Pop into our Coastal Centre at Trevathan Farm Shop in St Endellion, near Port Isaac, or use the button below to get in touch.

Recent support for The Two Bays Trust…

“The Two Bays Trust Charity has provided our students with a truly outstanding intervention within the local community. The sessions have been inclusive, nurturing, informative, and highly engaging. Our students have thoroughly enjoyed participating and have developed a strong sense of belonging, as well as an increased sense of self-worth as a result. We are extremely grateful for the positive impact this experience has had on their personal and social development”

“Two Bays Trust are building something special. As someone who has worked in mental health for 16 years, we often have clients say that they would like to work with animals or within the Cornish environment. This is because it’s healing to their mental wellbeing and known to reduce stress levels”

“The Two Bays Trust is an invaluable resource for our patients who are experiencing mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties to be able to access in order to aid their recovery”

“The Two Bays Trust is an amazing place.

I have been having a really difficult time with certain things recently, but this place has helped me so much. I look forward to coming here because I learn so much. At the moment I’m learning about wood work and angles of wood to cut. I struggle learning because my mind is flat out but the people here are calm and so friendly and I feel very relaxed when I’m here. I am very happy that I joined The Two Bays Trust and it gives me something to look forward to. I am also learning about our planet more because the people here are interesting.

I also struggle with feeling negative but since being here I feel positive about the future. A lot of good opportunities come from this place”
